How to Braid in Hair Extensions?

The beauty of a woman is a great power! As a rule, this beauty depends on hair condition. A woman’s face is like a painting, and her hair is a frame for a portrait, and it can sometimes change, giving a painting a novelty and freshness. Long hair at all times was considered the main decoration of a woman. It is right. But what about those who, for some reason, cannot grow beautiful, long curls?

Now there is a solution to this problem. Hair extension for a braid or a lush hairstyle from long hair is a real breakthrough in the world of beauty and fashion! Modern unique technologies help a woman to become even more beautiful, sexy, and feminine. Hair extension helps to solve a number of aesthetic problems and allows you to significantly change your appearance in a short time. By doing extensions, you can not only change the length and thickness of your hair but also change their color or shade and add a touch of extravagance to your look. Another indisputable advantage of this method is the ease of care of hair extensions and the comfort of wearing them.

Hair Extension Facts

  1. Hair extensions allow you to look exactly the way you’ve always dreamed of looking. What else can you say about this method?
  2. The extension adds more than just hair length. You can add volume, not length (or in addition to it). This may also help many women who have fine or thin hair.
  3. You can extend hair, not over the entire head, but only in some specific areas – on the back of the head, temples, you can only increase bangs, and so on.
  4. You can choose strands of a color that is completely identical to your hair, or a completely different color or shade.
  5. This is a completely painless process. It takes from forty minutes to 3-4 hours.

How to extend braid hair?

Time does not stand still, technologies are improving, new methods of hair extension appear. Experts strive to find a way that would help to avoid a negative impact on the “native” hair of clients during the extension procedure. But at the same time, the hair extensions are held firmly enough, and the places where the strands were attached are not noticeable.

One of these methods has become the way when hair is extended on a pigtail. The master weaves very thin root braids across the back of the client’s head and attaches additional strands directly to each braid. As a rule, the strands are in the form of tresses, which is why this method has another name – the “tress method”. Tress is hair that is processed in a special way and connected at the base and represents a long narrow strip from which the strands seem to “grow”.

Starting to weave from the bottom of the back of the head, the master simply sews tresses to each of the braided braids, trying to position the strip of hair as close as possible to the hair roots. One tress is sewn to each pigtail. The closer the tress is sewn to the root of the hair, the less often it is necessary to make a correction later.

On average, once every two months, each tress is removed, the pigtail is weaved closer to the scalp, and the tress is then sewn back to the intertwined pigtail. The time to carry out such a procedure (weaving braids and sewing on tresses) takes about three hours.

Pigtail hair extensions are suitable for any hair, regardless of color, structure, and original volume. The pigtails that the master weaves on the client’s head are very thin, so they do not cause any discomfort or inconvenience at all.
